Tettnanger Hopfenpfad, Educational trail and architectural structure in Tettnang, Germany.
The Tettnanger Hopfenpfad is a walking route that winds through hop fields and fruit orchards at varying elevations. It runs from Tettnang's town center to the Siggenweiler area over a distance of roughly 7.7 kilometers.
The route was initiated in 1996 by Inge Locher and Fritz Tauscher to link breweries directly with local hop fields. The project grew from a desire to make the region's farming heritage accessible and visible to visitors.
Hop growing shaped Tettnang's identity for centuries, and this trail shows how central the crop remains to local life. The stations reveal cultivation secrets and demonstrate how farming traditions continue to define the community.
The path is roughly 85 percent paved, making it easy to walk, with several rest spots and viewpoints for taking breaks. Along the way you will find two restaurants and self-service farm shops where you can buy refreshments.
From the highest point at Dieglishofer, you can see both the Alps and Lake Constance on clear days. This double view makes the spot memorable, where geography and farming traditions meet in one panorama.
