Mini Mundus Bodensee, Miniature park in Meckenbeuren, Germany
Mini Mundus Bodensee was a miniature park featuring about 90 scale models of buildings and structures from around the world, all crafted at 1:25 scale. The displays included famous sites such as pyramids, religious buildings, and landmarks from different countries and regions across the grounds.
The park opened in May 2005 and offered visitors a journey through world-famous buildings in miniature form. It operated until 2013, presenting an expanding collection of handcrafted models across its grounds during that time.
The park featured different themed sections including Orient and Desert, showcasing models like the Cheops Pyramid and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.
The models were built from real materials and designed for transport, allowing staff to dismantle them during winter months. This design made it possible to manage and maintain the collection with flexibility.
One particularly striking model in the collection was a replica of the Burj al Arab, which stood as the tallest structure in the park. Another remarkable creation was the Dresden Zwinger replica, which was among the most elaborate and expensive models on display.
