The Marienkirche features baroque architecture and stands prominently above the main thoroughfare, surrounded by a historic cemetery and the former Seckbach schoolhouse from 1709.
After the original church burned down during air raids on Frankfurt in 1943, reconstruction efforts led to its rededication on the first Sunday of Advent in 1951.
The church bells ring daily at noon, calling the community to pray for international peace while serving approximately 2,500 congregation members in the district.
Regular Sunday services take place at 10:00 AM, with additional facilities available for children's groups and community activities in the old village center.
The cemetery grounds form a natural park landscape with minimal maintenance, providing a habitat for rare plants including birthwort among ancient trees.
