Kavalierhaus Langenargen, Historical building in Langenargen, Germany.
Kavalierhaus Langenargen is a historical building located near Montfort Castle with a surrounding park. Mature trees, banana plants, and palm trees grow throughout the grounds, creating a distinctive landscape setting.
Construction started in 1866 according to architect Gottlieb Pfeilsticker's designs. The building was originally built to house staff and attendants serving the Queen Mother and Prince Friedrich.
The building houses a restaurant and serves as a gathering space for the local community. Artists work here during their temporary stays, using the space to create and exchange ideas.
The building can be viewed from outside and is located very close to Montfort Castle. An attached restaurant invites visitors to spend time here and provides a good reason to stop by.
The architect's symmetrical design resulted in one unusual detail: a decorative bathroom window on the street-facing side. This window exists purely for visual balance and serves no practical function.
