Museum für Luftfahrt und Technik

The Museum für Luftfahrt und Technik displays around 50 restored aircraft and helicopters across four halls. The collection includes passenger planes, rescue aircraft, agricultural planes, and military machines from different periods.

The museum was founded in 1999 and expanded several times, with a major addition completed in 2016. This growth reflects an increasing effort to preserve aircraft and their role in aviation history.

The collection tells stories of aviation through different types of aircraft, from rescue planes to military machines, showing the various roles flying has played in society. Visitors can observe how these machines have shaped both everyday life and specialized missions.

The halls are connected by stairs and ramps, allowing visitors to explore all exhibition areas. Plan enough time to move through the collection at a comfortable pace and examine the details of each aircraft.

A walkable transport aircraft sits on top of a hangar roof, allowing visitors to slide down to ground level through a chute. This unusual feature turns the visit into a playful experience for both children and adults.
