History
The castle was built between 1745 and 1748 as a summer residence for Count Heinrich XXV Reuss zu Gera. It later served as a military hospital during both World Wars before becoming an educational facility.

The castle was transformed from an aristocratic residence into a place for study and teaching. Today students use the former state rooms as lecture halls and seminar spaces, giving the building new purpose in the lives of young people.
