Schloss Pyrmont

Schloss Pyrmont is an architectural heritage monument in Bad Pyrmont that stands on elevated grounds with a symmetrical facade and large windows. The building combines multiple construction periods and now houses exhibition spaces for visitors.

The original stone castle dates from 1225 and was rebuilt and enlarged in the early 18th century. This transformation created the symmetrical structure that defines the building today.

The castle now houses a museum where visitors can explore exhibitions about the town's history and its development as a spa destination. The rooms give an impression of how the community evolved over time.

The castle is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers free information at the reception desk. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes, as some areas are uneven and stairs are needed to explore the different levels.

One section of the castle was preserved as living quarters and displays original furnishings and personal items from different periods. These rooms offer an authentic glimpse into the daily life of former residents.
