Silberberg is a mountain summit in the Black Forest near Todtnau that rises to about 1360 meters above sea level. Its northern face drops steeply with rocky outcrops, while forested slopes surround the peak in all directions.
Silver extraction at Silberberg started in the 11th century and made the peak an important mining location. This mineral production shaped the region throughout the medieval period.
The Black Forest Club created and maintained mountain paths across Silberberg, establishing a network of trails for mountaineers and nature enthusiasts.

The mountain contains rare tremolite deposits found nowhere else in the Black Forest region. Over 60 different mineral and ore types appear in its rocks, making it notable for mineral collectors.
