Silberberg, Mountain summit in Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Silberberg rises to an elevation of 1,358 meters above sea level in the Black Forest region, featuring steep rock paths and craggy northern slopes.
The mountain holds extensive mining heritage dating back to 1028, when the first documented ore mines extracted silver, galena, and chalcopyrite from its deposits.
The Black Forest Club established numerous paths across the mountain, creating a network of trails that connect local communities to this natural landmark.
Multiple hiking routes lead to the summit from different starting points, with the northern path requiring advanced hiking skills due to steep terrain.
The mountain contains deposits of tremolite, a mineral formation not found elsewhere in the Black Forest, along with extensive mineral lodes spanning several kilometers.
