Nonnenstromberg

Nonnenstromberg is a hill summit in North Rhine-Westphalia that rises to about 336 meters above sea level. It forms part of the Rheinisches Schiefergebirge range and sits surrounded by mixed forests that shape the local landscape.

The mountain forms part of the protected Naturpark Siebengebirge with around 50 peaks in this conservation area. Its name refers to historical religious ties to the region, which has been used by people for centuries.

The summit sits along a key hiking route where walkers from different areas meet and share views of the surrounding region. The setting shows typical features of local hill country with mixed forests and open resting spots.

A mountain shelter sits within easy walking distance to the east of the summit and offers a good spot to rest and restock supplies. The trail is well marked, and the best time to hike is spring through autumn when weather stays fairly stable.

The summit offers views of several deep valleys and the Rhine valley that become visible on clear days. These wide vistas make the spot a favorite point for photography and quiet moments during a walk.
