Ochsenturm, Church ruin in Imsum, Germany.
The Ochsenturm stands as a massive tower made of brick, situated at the mouth of the Weser River in Geestland, Lower Saxony.
The structure originated as part of a church constructed in 1218, which underwent expansion in the 15th century before its nave was demolished in 1895.
The preserved tower represents the architectural traditions of northern German church construction and serves as a testament to Protestant religious heritage.
Visitors can access an observation platform at the top of the tower, offering views of the surrounding Weser River mouth landscape.
After damages from storm surges and lightning strikes led to the church's closure in 1875, the tower remained as a navigation marker for maritime traffic.
