Seller See

The Seller See contains a small tree-covered island and spans 9 hectares with a circumference of 1.3 kilometers and depths reaching 5.5 meters.

The artificial lake emerged from excavation activities and evolved into a recreational site managed by local fishing and sailing clubs throughout its development.

The lake serves as a gathering point for two local sports clubs: the Burgsteinfurt Angling Club and SSG Stormvogel Sailing Club, which maintain the facilities.

A walking path circles the lake through trees and shrubs, with access to boat docks, a clubhouse, and a children's playground on the northeastern shore.

The lake maintains a diverse ecosystem with numerous fish species including pike, carp, and zander, while supporting water birds and bats through dedicated nesting boxes.
