Seller See

Seller See is an artificial lake in Steinfurt featuring a small tree-covered island at its center. The water body spans approximately nine hectares and is ringed by a walking path, with boat docks, a clubhouse, and a playground accessible on the northeastern shore.

The lake was created through excavation work and later transformed into a recreational site by local clubs. This project developed over the years into an important local recreation area in the region.

The lake serves as a meeting place for two local sports clubs that regularly hold their activities here and maintain the facilities. It functions as a social gathering spot for people sharing common interests in fishing and sailing.

A walking path circles the entire water body, making it ideal for an easy stroll in a quiet setting. The facilities on the northeastern shore are easy to access and provide spots for lingering and observing.

The water body is an important refuge for various fish species including pike, carp, and zander. The shore area is deliberately equipped with nesting boxes to provide breeding and roosting spots for birds and bats.
