The exhibition space spans 1,000 square meters of gallery halls displaying paintings, sculptures, video art, and installations from Danish and international artists.
Founded in 1917 by the Aarhus Art Association of 1847, the building was designed by architect Axel Høeg-Hansen and expanded by C.F. Møller in the 1990s.
The institution presents solo exhibitions, thematic displays, and organizes the annual graduation show of the Jutland Art Academy.
Visitors can explore the galleries from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 and 17:00, with extended hours until 20:00 on Wednesdays.
The venue maintains partnerships with international institutions such as Art Sonje Center in Seoul and KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin.
