Dagmar Theatre, Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark
The Dagmar Theatre stands in central Copenhagen with five screens spread across orchestra and balcony levels in a dedicated building complex.
Founded in 1883, the original theatre succumbed to fire in 1937, leading to the construction of the current structure that opened in 1939.
The theatre displays two relief panels by artist Olaf Staehr Nielsen depicting female nudes on each side of the proscenium opening.
Located at Jernbanegarde 2, Copenhagen 1608, the theatre contains 787 seats distributed across five screening rooms with a café in the foyer.
During World War II, German forces transformed the venue into Weltmacht Kino, requiring extensive rebuilding after their departure in 1945.
