Glasmuseum Ebeltoft, Glass art museum in Ebeltoft, Denmark
The Glasmuseum Ebeltoft spans 2,000 square meters, featuring exhibition spaces, a library, a gift shop, and a glass-blowing studio for public demonstrations.
Founded in 1985 by glass artists Finn Lynggaard and Tchai Munch, the museum initially operated from the historical Customs and Excise House before expanding in 2006.
The museum collection contains 1,500 glass artworks from 600 international artists, representing countries including Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, and Estonia.
The museum opens daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering visitors opportunities to watch glassblowers transform molten glass into artworks during regular demonstrations.
Four to six exhibitions rotate annually in the museum, while the circular glass roof provides natural light protection and views of Ebeltoft Bay.
