Cottageparken

Cottageparken is a public park in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality near the Øresund coast, with walking paths crossing green spaces and open areas. Two historic cottage buildings stand within the grounds and serve as restaurants today.

This area began as part of Klampenborg Spa in 1845, when Denmark's first spa resort opened with contributions from a leading architect of the period. The spa concept brought visitors to the coastal region as a place for health and leisure.

The two preserved cottage buildings house restaurants where visitors can dine while experiencing the heritage of these spaces. Local food traditions come alive through the dining experiences offered within the restored structures.

Parking spaces are available near the cottages and along Strandvejen, making it easy to arrive and find a spot. Seating areas, tables, and trash bins are scattered throughout, so you can rest and enjoy the grounds comfortably.

Four original structures from the spa era still stand on the grounds, including a cottage with a thatched roof and a historic clock tower. These buildings are reminders of when such facilities were believed to offer healing benefits and drew visitors seeking wellness.
