Bellevue Beach

Bellevue Beach is a seaside resort in Klampenborg featuring white sand and adjoining green spaces that extend for approximately 700 meters. The location offers changing facilities, lifeguard towers, and kiosks to serve visitors spending a day by the water.

The beach was established in 1932 when Danish Prime Minister Thorvald Stauning inaugurated it as a modern seaside destination for Copenhagen residents. This founding quickly transformed it into a favored summer retreat for city dwellers.

The geometric blue-striped lifeguard towers and kiosks were designed by architect Arne Jacobsen in 1932 and have defined the visual character of this beach ever since. These structures represent functional design from that era and remain distinctive elements that visitors notice immediately.
