The Pyramid of Djoser, or step pyramid is an archeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis, Egypt.
Built during the 27th century BC for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser by his vizier Imhotep.
The pyramid is considered an important development in the process of pyramid building.
It originally stood 62.5 meters tall and is considered the earliest colossal stone building.
It was the first pyramid built in Egypt, setting a precedent for future Egyptian architecture.
