The Statue of Ramesses II is a 3,200-year-old figure of Ramesses II, depicting him standing.
It was discovered in 1820 by Giovanni Battista Caviglia at the Great Temple of Ptah near Memphis, Egypt.
The statue is an important piece of Egyptian history and symbolizes the grandeur of the New Kingdom Pharaohs.
Today, it is housed in the Grand Egyptian Museum, located on the Giza plateau.
Despite its age, the statue has retained much of its original detail and is considered one of the best examples of ancient Egyptian art.
