The Bourse Toussoun building exhibits neoclassical design elements with grand columns and symmetrical facades along Rue de Rosette in Alexandria.
Built in 1888, the structure served as the Alexandria Exchange Company before transforming into a cultural venue that hosted Egypt's first cinema screening in 1896.
The center now functions as Horreya Cultural Palace, offering spaces for art exhibitions, performances, workshops, and community gatherings for local artists and visitors.
Located at the intersection of Rue de Rosette and Rue de la Gare, the center maintains regular operating hours and presents diverse cultural programs throughout the year.
During construction in 1886, workers discovered remains of a Ptolemaic temple beneath the foundation, adding archaeological significance to the cultural landmark.
