Aluche

Aluche is a residential neighborhood in southwestern Madrid, spread across an area bounded by several adjacent districts. The area consists primarily of residential buildings that developed during the city's expansion period.

The neighborhood emerged in the 1950s as Madrid expanded rapidly and converted former agricultural lands into residential areas. Its name comes from the Luche creek that ran through the region.

The street names here come from towns and villages in Toledo province, linking this area to the regional heritage of the surrounding region.

The neighborhood has adequate shops, schools, and medical facilities for daily needs. Buses and metro connections link it to other parts of the city and make getting around straightforward.

The area is home to the Gómez Ulla Military Hospital, an important medical facility with its own distinct history. This institution sets the neighborhood apart from other residential areas in the city.
