The church features five naves, a decorated dome above the crossing, and a 48-meter tower inspired by the Giralda of Seville.
Following the 1755 Lisbon earthquake that destroyed the original Mudejar church, architect Jose Alvarez rebuilt the structure between 1776 and 1783.
The interior contains seven Baroque altarpieces and numerous metalwork pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries, reflecting regional artistic traditions.
Located in Plaza Nuestra Señora de Montemayor, the church serves as the main parish of Moguer and hosts regular religious services.
The church stands as the largest religious building in Huelva province, combining Baroque and Mudejar architectural elements in its design.
