Iglesia Nuestra Señora de la Granada, Moguer

Iglesia Nuestra Señora de la Granada is a church in Moguer with five naves and a decorated dome above the crossing. A 48-meter tower dominates the exterior and follows the design style of the Giralda in Seville.

The original Mudejar church was destroyed by the Lisbon earthquake of 1755. Architect Jose Alvarez rebuilt it between 1776 and 1783 with a fresh design.

Inside, you will find seven Baroque altarpieces and metalwork pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries that show local artistic skill. These objects reveal how craftsmen in this region created religious art over centuries.

The building sits on Plaza Nuestra Señora de Montemayor and serves as the main parish church of Moguer. You can visit it throughout the week as it hosts regular religious services.
