Church of El Carmen Extramuros, Valladolid

The Church of El Carmen Extramuros stands with stone foundations and brick lower sections, featuring a central baroque altarpiece from Santa María de Mayorga.

Founded by Discalced Carmelites in 1581, the church received its final construction in 1583 and remains the only preserved structure of the original convent.

The central altarpiece displays a Virgin of Mount Carmel sculpture by Gregorio Fernández, accompanied by additional works from Juan de Juni and Alonso Carmona.

Located at Campiña del Carmen 3 in Valladolid, the church holds masses at 17:30 on weekdays and multiple morning services during weekends.

The main façade incorporates a lintel arch and central niche housing a carved image of the Virgin of Carmen from 1616.
