Monte Valonsadero, Archaeological site with rock paintings in Soria Province, Spain
Monte Valonsadero contains multiple sandstone formations with gentle slopes to the south and steep cliffs along the northern edge across 2,800 hectares.
The site features rock paintings dating from 3000 to 2000 BC created by nomadic tribes, with 500 pictorial examples discovered across 34 different stations.
The natural meadows and canyons serve as locations for traditional San Juan festivities, including events such as the Purchase of the Bull and the Saca.
The protected area offers certified hiking trails, recreational zones with children's play areas, picnic facilities, and several marked routes connecting different sections.
Visitors can explore ten accessible rock shelters containing prehistoric art while observing 135 bird species in their natural environment.
