The Museo das Mariñas occupies a former Dominican convent from the 17th century, displaying collections of regional artifacts across multiple exhibition halls.
Established in 1983, the museum preserves medieval artifacts including a 14th-century statue of Santiago Peregrino, the earliest representation in Galicia.
The museum exhibits traditional Galician clothing, craft tools, and rural house models that represent the daily life of Mariñas region inhabitants.
The museum opens Monday through Friday from 10:30 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, with modified summer hours during July and August.
The museum houses thirteen paintings and engravings from the Rubens School of Antwerp in its dedicated northern corridor gallery.
