Son Bauló beach

Son Bauló is a beach with fine white sand in Santa Margalida, stretching about 160 meters along the shore and extending 80 meters back to the promenade. The waters are clear and shallow, making it easy to swim, while a wooden boardwalk provides direct access to the sand.

A megalithic tomb from the Bronze Age sits in this area, showing that humans lived along this coast thousands of years ago. The site reveals early settlement of this island region by prehistoric communities.

The beach serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors spend time by the sea in a relaxed manner. You will notice families and friends enjoying the water and resting on the sand throughout the day.

The beach has showers, toilets, and a lifeguard on duty during the day. You can rent umbrellas and loungers, and the wooden boardwalk provides easy barrier-free access to the sand.

Next to the beach, the Torrent de Son Bauló river flows into the sea and creates a wetland with reeds and vegetation. This natural reserve attracts migratory birds and offers a quiet contrast to the busier swimming area.
