Platja de s'Estanyol, Mediterranean beach in Artà, Spain
Platja de s'Estanyol is a pebble beach on Mallorca's north coast near Artà. The shore is framed by rocky outcrops and slopes gently into clear water that borders Badia d'Alcúdia.
The beach evolved over time through adjustments to its natural features made by humans. Work at the river mouth and construction of a bridge in the 2010s made subtle changes to the physical landscape.
The beach sits near a small fishing village where locals and visitors walk the shoreline in the early morning hours. The area reflects the quieter side of Mallorca, away from busier tourist zones.
The beach is reached from Artà via the MA-12 road toward Alcúdia, then taking MA-3331 toward Colònia de Sant Pere. The walk from the road down to the shore is short and fairly easy to manage.
A small, often overlooked dune zone with pine trees and Phoenician juniper grows behind the main beach line. This sheltered natural pocket provides a quiet retreat away from the shoreline itself.
