Tampere Areena

Tampere Areena is a modern multi-function event venue in the Finnish city of Tampere with a capacity of around 11,000 seats. Beyond the sports spaces, the building includes restaurants, bars, and shopping options distributed across different levels of the complex.

The building was designed by renowned architect Daniel Libeskind and opened to the public in 2021. Its construction was part of a broader urban development project intended to improve connectivity and the appearance of central Tampere.

The building serves as home to two ice hockey teams from Tampere that compete in the national league. Supporters from across the city gather here to watch matches and share in the local sports tradition.

The building connects directly to railway tracks and pedestrian pathways in the central area, making it easy to reach by public transport or on foot. Multiple levels allow for good wayfinding, and there is ample parking as well as accessible entrances for visitors with mobility needs.

The complex combines sports facilities, event spaces, and a hotel under one roof, making it a rare blend of leisure, sports, and accommodation in a single location. This combination allows visitors to find everything they need without traveling between different parts of the city.
