Tour du Suquet, Medieval tower in Suquet district, Cannes, France
The square tower rises twenty-two meters above the hill, providing a complete view of the harbor and the Lérins islands.
Construction of the tower began in 1080 under Abbot Aldebert II of Lérins to protect the settlement but was not completed until 1365.
The tower stands as part of an architectural complex including Saint Anne Chapel and Notre-Dame-d'Espérance Church, representing Cannes's religious heritage.
The tower and Castre Museum maintain regular opening hours throughout the year, with seasonal schedule adjustments for visitors.
This watchtower functioned as a prison through centuries and transformed into a ceramics factory in 1878 before becoming a museum.
