The Bec du Lièvre peak reaches an elevation of 2,770 meters above sea level with a prominence of 290 meters in the Chambeyron Massif.

The mountain stands as the 62nd highest peak among 740 summits in Parc national du Mercantour, contributing to the region's mountaineering heritage.

The summit forms part of the Randonnée Ubaye trail system, which connects various peaks and valleys throughout the French Alps region.

Hikers can access the mountain from the Pontet parking area at 1950 meters elevation, located one kilometer before the Col de Larche.

The summit features dolomitic formations that create distinct vertical walls, requiring technical climbing skills to reach the final 2770-meter peak.
