Lower Circular Road cemetery, Christian cemetery at Mother Teresa Sarani crossroad, India
Lower Circular Road Cemetery spreads across 33 acres and contains approximately 12,000 graves with various memorial designs and inscriptions.
The cemetery, established in 1840, became the final resting place for numerous British East India Company employees during the colonial period.
The burial site contains memorials to influential figures including Charles Freer Andrews, Michael Madhusudan Dutt, and several military personnel.
Visitors can access the cemetery through the main entrance on Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, with the site remaining active for burials.
Two Commonwealth war graves from World War II mark the locations of a British Indian Army officer and a British Overseas Airways Corporation purser.
