Santa Palomba transmitter, Radio transmitter facility in Santa Palomba, Italy.

The Santa Palomba transmitter is a radio broadcasting facility featuring multiple antenna structures of varying heights. The site combines a tall steel tower, a lattice mast, and several guyed masts that work together to transmit signals across a wide region.

The facility was established in 1929 and represented one of the first structured radio broadcasting installations in central Italy. It played an important role in developing Italian radio infrastructure during the early era of broadcast transmission.

The transmitter complex represents the evolution of Italian telecommunications, contributing to the distribution of radio programs across multiple frequencies throughout the region.

The facility is located in Santa Palomba south of Rome and can be seen from nearby roads. Keep in mind this is an active broadcasting center, so access may be limited and photography might be restricted in certain areas.

The antenna systems on the main tower were specially designed to suppress skywave effects and control signal distribution. This technical solution made it possible to direct radio signals to specific regions rather than spreading them over vast distances.
