Pieve di Ledro is a mountain settlement at about 650 meters elevation in Trentino characterized by stone houses and narrow streets that open toward Lake Ledro and surrounding peaks. The settlement developed as a religious and administrative center for the valley, with the Church of San Giovanni Battista built in the 12th century to serve the community. In 2010, it merged with five neighboring villages to form the new municipality of Ledro, ending centuries of separate governance.
