Capo Ceraso, Cape on the northeast coast of Sardinia, near Olbia
Capo Ceraso is a rocky cape on the northeast coast of Sardinia, just south of Olbia. It is covered with Mediterranean plants and offers open views over the sea, with small sandy beaches tucked along its shoreline.
The name Capo Ceraso likely comes from the corbezzolo, a wild shrub with bright red berries that grows across this part of Sardinia. The cape remained largely untouched for a long time and only became a tourist destination in more recent decades.
Some beaches on the cape are easy to reach and have parking nearby, while others require a short walk through the natural terrain. The larger beaches in the area offer sun lounger and umbrella rentals, as well as small places to eat.
The north side of the cape is one of the windiest stretches of coast near Olbia, which makes it a regular spot for windsurfers and kitesurfers. On some of the smaller beaches, pine trees grow right down to the sand, providing natural shade during the hottest part of the day.
