Museum of art of the province of Nuoro, Contemporary art museum in Nuoro, Italy
The Museum of Art occupies a 1920s provincial building in central Nuoro, containing 300 artworks across 650 square meters of exhibition space.
Founded in 1999, the museum integrated various public collections from local institutions before gaining management independence in 2004.
The permanent collection features works by Sardinian artists Edina Altara, Antonio Ballero, and Giuseppe Biasi alongside international contemporary exhibitions.
Located at Via Sebastiano Satta 27, the museum provides free Wi-Fi, a cloakroom, bookstore, library services, and wheelchair accessibility.
The museum received recognition in 2024 when its exhibition 'Il resto dell'alba' earned a nomination for the Compasso d'Oro award.
