Parco regionale del Corno alle Scale is a protected area in the Apennines with forests, meadows, and higher elevations where varied plants and animals live. The landscape offers different habitats that change depending on altitude and terrain.

The protected area was established in 1988 to preserve the natural environment of this region for the long term. Since its creation, it has become an important place for conserving the mountain landscape.

The ethnographic museum within the park displays objects and photographs from daily mountain life, showing how people here historically lived and worked. You can see old tools, clothing, and other items that shaped life in these mountains across generations.

Visitors can find the information center Centro Visita di Pian d'Ivo in the park, where you get details about trails and activities. Some paths are adapted for people with mobility issues, making it possible for many visitors to explore the area.

The park has developed a special program called 'Un Parco per tutti' that designs trails so people with physical limitations can use them. This offering enables many visitors to experience the nature and mountains on their own terms.
