Santuario della Madonna della Consolazione, Catholic sanctuary on the historic hill in Paternò, Italy.
The sanctuary features a neo-Romanesque facade constructed with red stone and white marble, displaying a fresco of Madonna next to the risen Christ.
The structure dates back to 1585 as the Church of Madonna del Pietoso, later changing its name to Madonna della Consolazione in 1616.
The sanctuary maintains a collection of religious artworks, including decorations by Antonio Majocchi and significant images by painter Archimede Cirinnà.
Religious services occur twice daily on weekdays at 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM, with additional weekend masses scheduled according to seasonal timing.
According to local records, the Virgin Mary appeared to a young shepherdess in May 1580, requesting the construction of a chapel at this location.
