Villa Ruggiero

Villa Ruggiero is an 18th-century residence in Ercolano with an elegant entrance featuring piperno stone and white marble details. Engaged columns and a decorative balcony mark the facade, while the interior holds multiple rooms across different levels.

Baron Enrico Petti built this residence in the mid-1700s during a period of growth in Ercolano. The Ruggiero family later acquired it and kept it in the family for many generations.

The noble floor has a large ballroom with painted flowers and natural designs from that period.

The residence is located in a residential neighborhood and can be visited on weekdays. Visitors should be prepared for multiple levels and stairs as rooms are spread across different floors.

The garden features a central avenue lined with seating areas and citrus trees following an old design pattern. This type of layout was common among wealthy homes near Mount Vesuvius in that era.
