Torre della Vittoria, Memorial tower in Piazza Trento e Trieste, Ferrara, Italy.

Torre della Vittoria is a red brick tower with Gothic crenellations and stone corners standing beside the Municipal Palace in Ferrara, rising about 57 meters. It contains a memorial shrine inside and features ornate wrought iron details that define its appearance throughout.

The structure was built between 1924 and 1928 as a memorial to Italian soldiers from the First World War. The site itself had a longer past, as another building had previously occupied this location before disaster struck.

The name refers to Italy's victory in the First World War and continues to shape how locals view this square. Citizens of Ferrara use this space to remember the significance of that historical period.

You can enter the memorial through the entrance on the square, marked by an ornate wrought iron gate. The location sits in a central area of the city and is easy to reach while exploring the old town on foot.

The bell inside the tower was cast from melted Austrian cannons that came from the war battles. This notable conversion of war machinery into a symbol of peace tells a quiet story about the end of conflict.
