Spiaggia Zaiana

Spiaggia Zaiana is a 200-meter-long sand beach along the Adriatic coast between tall rocky cliffs covered with Mediterranean forest. The water here is calm and shallow, making it welcoming for swimmers, while the sand has a golden color that is pleasant underfoot.

The beach became locally known as Spiaggia del Diavolo and served as shelter for fishermen from the earliest settlements in Peschici. Its location between the cliffs made it an important part of local life and the fishing economy.

The beach draws both locals and visitors throughout summer, who gather in the evenings to swim and socialize together.

Reaching the beach requires descending about 200 steps from the parking area. A restaurant and umbrella rental services are available, and visiting early in the morning helps you avoid crowds.

During low tide, natural grottoes and caves in the limestone cliffs become accessible for exploration. These hidden spaces reveal the geological history of the area and offer a surprising discovery for those who explore further.
