Palazzo Borea d'Olmo, Historic palace and museum in Sanremo, Italy.

Palazzo Borea d'Olmo is a five-story palace in Sanremo featuring Renaissance cornices, Baroque walls, and two marble portals connecting different streets. The building now houses museum collections spread across its restored historical rooms.

Antonio Borea founded this palace in 1498, and it became the residence of the Borea noble family for centuries. The building reflects the architectural evolution from the Renaissance period through the Baroque style.

The first noble floor displays works by Genoese painter Giovanni Battista Merano, including mirrors, busts, and paintings that reflect baroque tastes of the period. Walking through these rooms gives you a sense of how noble families presented themselves and their wealth.

The palace is located at Via Matteotti 143 and welcomes visitors with guided tour options through its museum sections. Check opening hours in advance as they can vary seasonally throughout the year.

One room preserves original painted vaulted ceilings that recall Pope Pius VII's overnight stay on February 11, 1814. This decorated space remains untouched and offers a glimpse into the palace's past grandeur.
