Palazzo Borea d'Olmo

The five-story palace features Renaissance cornices, Baroque walls, and two marble portals connecting Cavour Street and Matteotti Street.

Antonio Borea established the foundation of the palace in 1498, which later became the residence of the noble Borea family throughout multiple centuries.

The first noble floor contains works by Genoese painter Giovanni Battista Merano, including mirrors, busts, and paintings representing typical baroque architecture.

Located at Via Matteotti 143, the palace maintains regular visiting hours and offers guided tours through its museum sections and historical rooms.

Pope Pius VII spent the night of February 11, 1814, in a room that still maintains its original decorations with painted vaulted ceilings.
