Category:Villa Santa Margherita, 19th-century noble residence in Ancona, Italy.

Villa Santa Margherita is a 19th-century residence located on Monte Pelago's eastern slopes, showcasing Mediterranean gardens with monumental trees and distinctive architectural details. The building displays late-1800s style and proportions typical of that period.

The property was built in the late 19th century as a summer residence for the Van Der Goes-Giovannelli family. In the following century, it was repurposed as the headquarters of a national institute for elderly care and rest.

The grounds blend Mediterranean romantic gardens with Italian garden design, where native black squirrels inhabit the trees. These animals are a natural part of the landscape and contribute to the site's character.

The main entrance is accessible from Via Santa Margherita, with an additional entry point from Via Thaon de Revel available. Access to different areas depends on current public opening policies.

Following the 1972 earthquake, Franciscan friars who occupied the property at that time sheltered displaced local residents in the gardens. This episode highlights how the grounds served as refuge during a regional disaster.
