The villa grounds contain a mixture of Mediterranean romantic park and Italian garden designs, with native black squirrels inhabiting the surroundings.
The main entrance to Villa Santa Margherita is located on Via Santa Margherita, with an additional access point available from Via Thaon de Revel.
After the 1972 earthquake, the Minor Friars who owned the villa at that time provided shelter in the gardens for local residents.
