Cascina Giajone

Cascina Giajone is a rural farm building featuring three wings arranged around a closed courtyard, showcasing traditional elements of Piedmontese agricultural architecture. The structure displays typical features characteristic of historic estates that once dotted the Turin plains.

The building underwent major reconstruction between 1762 and 1785 under Count Giuseppe Martini Montù di Beccaria, establishing its current form. This period of transformation shaped the structure into the estate it remains today.

Since 1992, this farm building has housed the Alessandro Passerin d'Entrèves Public Library, transforming it into a community gathering space for the neighborhood. The location brings people together for reading, events, and local activities that shape daily life in the area.
