Tama-ku, Administrative ward in Kawasaki, Japan.

Tama-ku spans across 20.49 square kilometers along the Tama River, containing residential neighborhoods of Suge, Noborito, and Inada-Zutsumi.

The region transformed from ancient settlement sites with kofun burial mounds to agricultural lands controlled by the Inage clan during the Heian period.

The Fujiko F Fujio Museum, Nihon Minka-en Museum, and Taro Okamoto Museum of Art present Japanese art, folk heritage, and manga collections.

The ward connects to central Tokyo through the JR Nambu Line and Odakyu Odawara Line, with stations at Shukugawara, Noborito, and Nakanoshima.

From 1725, the area served as designated falconry grounds for Tokugawa shoguns, reflecting its historical connection to Japanese military nobility.
