Mount Arashi, Mountain summit in Midori-ku, Japan.
Mount Arashi rises 406 meters above sea level, featuring hiking trails through dense forests and offering views across Sagamiko Lake from its peak.
The mountain received its name, meaning 'storm' in Japanese, during the Edo period when local communities observed frequent weather pattern changes around its summit.
A small shrine established in 1955 at the mountain peak serves as a place of purification, with a stone lantern marking this spiritual location.
The hiking route from Sagamiko Station covers 4.3 kilometers, including multiple elevation changes, and takes approximately three hours for a complete round trip.
The mountain path crosses several streams and passes through bamboo groves before reaching a final rest area equipped with benches near the summit.
