Shin-Yokohama Park, public park in Japan
Shin-Yokohama Park is a large sports facility in Kozukue-chō offering multiple playing fields, tennis courts, and a stadium for major sporting events. The complex features open green spaces, paved pathways, and designated areas for soccer, baseball, skateboarding, inline skating, BMX riding, and dog exercise on natural turf.
The park was developed in recent decades to serve the city's growing population. The stadium hosted the 2002 FIFA World Cup final and later served as a venue for Rugby World Cup matches and the 2020 Olympic Games.
The park is located about 14 minutes walking distance from Shin-Yokohama Station and is easily accessible by public transportation. Three parking lots are available for cars, and the management office is open most days except Tuesdays and New Year holidays.
Registered dogs are allowed to run freely on natural turf areas, making it a popular spot for pet owners. The grounds also feature specialized areas for extreme sports like BMX riding and inline skating.
