Latov, Multipurpose complex in Iwaki, Japan.
Latov is an eight-story building in Iwaki with commercial spaces on the lower floors, public facilities in the middle, and office areas on the upper levels. The structure combines retail shops, restaurants, libraries, and administrative services under a single roof.
The Latov Corporation initiated this development project in 2000, with the building officially opening on October 25, 2007. This marked a significant step in modernizing Iwaki's city center.
The building houses the Iwaki Comprehensive Library, a citizens' service center, and the local commerce chamber. These facilities make it a gathering place for people seeking information, public services, and local business connections.
The building sits just one minute's walk from JR Iwaki Station, making it very accessible. Commercial spaces typically open at 10:00 AM, while restaurants serve food until 10:00 PM.
The facility features a direct deck connection to the train station, seamlessly linking transit access with shopping and educational services. This integration makes it easy to move between the railway and daily activities without going outside.
