Nanatsugama Falls

Nanatsugama Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall in Odai that drops about 80 meters down through natural rock. The water flows through several levels and creates three distinct water-filled basins along its descent.

The waterfall was recognized when it was included in Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls list. This national recognition helped establish it as a notable natural site.

The name comes from Japanese words meaning 'seven pots', referencing the rock formations that catch water as it tumbles down the cliff.

Access remains limited during winter months, so visiting in spring or autumn offers the best conditions. Plan your visit for these seasons to experience the site at its fullest.

Each tier of the waterfall carved natural stone pools that capture the flowing mountain water. These stone basins offer an interesting sight since they were shaped by the water's force over time.
