Nobeoka Castle・Naitō Memorial Museum

The museum occupies the Nishinomaru section of Nobeoka Castle, displaying archaeological artifacts, historical documents, and cultural materials from the region.

Construction of Nobeoka Castle started in 1603 under Takahashi Mototane, while the three-level main keep was added by the Arima clan in 1655.

The museum exhibits 72 carved wooden Noh masks from the Naito family collection, including thirty pieces created between the late 16th and 17th centuries.

The museum provides free admission and features computer graphics projections of the castle town alongside drone footage of the current Castle Park.

The site contains a remarkable stone wall called Sennin Goroshi in the Ninomaru compound, reaching a height of 19 meters.
